Hey guys! Hope all is well with everyone.
Today I’m going to be sharing with you guys my first ever beauty unboxing in general featuring this Petit Vour Box! Earlier this month, I decided to sign up for the Petit Vour box. I came across this beauty subscription box while browsing online. The Petit Vour Box is non-toxic and vegan. I am definitely interested in transitioning to more non-toxic skincare, and makeup options. I have been adding more non-toxic items slowly but surely. Anyone who has looked into green beauty brands can agree that a lot of the items are definitely more costly than conventional, drugstore makeup. And although it is in my heart to use more non-toxic makeup, most of the brands are definitely not within my budget.
So, I thought that by signing up for a non-toxic beauty box, it would help me build up a collection of items and introduce me to must-haves that I can feel good about using regularly. I still have quite a bit of conventional makeup items that were gifted to me or purchased before my desire to transition. But, I tend to use them on a more limited basis, like special occasions.
The Contents of the Petit Vour Box
What drew me to this box, aside from it being green, was the fact that there are plenty of subscription options. There is a regular $15 per month cancel anytime option. There is also a three, six, and twelve month pre-paid option. I signed up for the 3 month pre-paid option. You also get 20% back with every purchase you make through the website.
On to the samples provided in the August box! The Box contained these items:
- Lily Lolo Sculpt & Glow Contour Duo ($26)
- Formulary 55 Body Polish-Sea Minerals with Rosemary & Grapefruit ($7)
- True Moringa Lavender Facial Oil (full-size, $26)
- Box Naturals Luxe Towlettes (box of 12, $9)
The Lily Lolo Sculpt & Glow Contour Duo
This contour duo is full-size. I don’t think that the contour color will benefit my deeper skin. Even so, I will be trying the highlight to see if I like it. I could use the contour product as an eyeshadow. It should be a good blending or crease shade. If I don’t like how the highlight looks for highlighting the high points of my face, I will use this product as a highlight for my eyes and as a general eyeshadow as well. I will have to play around with it.
Box Nautrals Luxe Towlettes
You can remove makeup with these towlettes, but it is multipurpose. The description reads that the wipes are good for cleaning hands, in place of a shower, and to wipe general areas, like yoga mats, etc.
The True Moringa Facial Oil
This oil can be used as a serum or moisturizer for the face. The description states that the Moringa oil with the lavender is formulated to reduce redness, damage, dry skin, and signs of aging with daily use. I currently use Argan oil or jojoba oil as moisturizers on my face at night and during the day when I am not wearing makeup, so I am definitely happy to test this product.
The Formulary 55 Body Polish
This product is described as a detox for the skin, while the therapeutic blend of salts and pure essential oils are used to refresh the senses. To use this product you have to combine the salt blend with water to make a paste, apply it on the skin, scrub and rinse. Oil can be used instead of water if you are looking for more moisture. This would be perfect for an at home spa experience (if I had the time these days with a wild toddler on the loose haha).
My first impression of the samples and full-size contour and highlight duo is good. I’m excited to play around with them and can update anyone who is interested in any of the items listed above. Have any of you tried any subscription boxes that you would recommend? If so, let me know.
Until next time! 🙂
